Increase the share of renewable energy in the European energy mix
Under the REPowerEU plan, energy ministers will vote to raise the target for increasing the share of renewable energy in Europe’s energy mix from 40% to 45% by 2030. Raising this target would halve EU gas imports and save €43 billion a year. The REPowerEU plan envisions an increase in installed renewable energy capacity from 1,067 to 1,236 GW by 2030.
