P2

Elon Musk has repeatedly surprised with his ideas. For two years we have been waiting for the premiere, still postponed – Cybertruck. The challenge is P (squared) precision and perfection. According to Musk – all parts must be designed and manufactured to an accuracy of less than 10 microns (0.01 mm), including manufacturing components from third-party suppliers. Experts say the guidelines do not take into account the “thermal expansion and contraction” of vehicle thermal expansion and contraction that occur during production and operation. Thus, such precision cannot be achieved and, in view of this, production will not take place. They are not wrong on the “here and now.”
So far, however, Tesla has been an example of determination in pursuit of a goal. Elon Musk is proving that unconventional challenges and innovative processes – eschewing traditional, applied approaches – allow you to reach further and higher. Will it succeed this time as well?
Experts predict Cybertruck’s failure. They claim that it is part of Tesla’s long-signaled, quality problems, while the current troubles are emblematic of a broader trend. However, they do not take into account Musk’s approach to breaking production patterns and challenging research. Unique to Tesla, is an approach to product that challenges science. That’s why I’m still keeping my fingers crossed for Cybertruck and calmly waiting for the release and mass production.
